Here to Support and Accelerate Your Coastal Nature-Based Solutions
Coastal Quest provides technical assistance, offers small grants, delivers webinars and virtual learning opportunities. Our goal is to work with our partners to accelerate the development and implementation of their coastal natural solutions to build resilient coasts and communities.
Coastal Quest is here to support your coastal nature-based solution projects that:
- Conserve, restore, or connect coastal lands and waters
- Build coastal resilience in vulnerable coastal communities
- Provide multiple benefits for people, nature, and the climate
- Are community-driven and equitable
- Further the goals of 30×30 and principles of the America the Beautiful initiative — to conserve, restore, and connect 30% of lands and waters by the year 2030
What do we mean by multi-benefit coastal nature-based solutions?
We mean projects that use natural solutions to build resilience for both people and nature AND provide more than one benefit. These benefits might include:
- Climate mitigation and adaptation
- Biodiversity protection
- Clean water
- Increased access to nature
- Improved public health
- Livelihoods and strong economies
- Food security and sovereignty
- Blue carbon
- Protecting cultural resources
- Furthering the goals of 30×30 and America the Beautiful
Did you know we host a Coastal Funding Database?
The Coastal Funding Database is a highly curated collection of funding opportunities that support coastal resilience programs and projects benefiting people, nature, and climate. The database is updated with funding opportunities to support a variety of coastal nature-based solutions such as disaster preparedness, hazard mitigation, conservation and restoration, and invasive species management.
